Hi everyone! My friend, Victoria, suggested I do a blog post about Spotify playlists curated for every mood. She must think I have a pretty good taste in music (lol)! Thanks for the suggestion, Victoria!
Music has always been a really big part of my life. Going to concerts is one of my favorite things to do, and I love the fact that it can truly bring individuals closer together. There’s nothing like a collective group of people swaying to the beat, radiating the same energy, and singing the lyrics to their favorite songs. I know that concerts probably won’t be happening for a while, but I’m looking forward to when we’re able to go to them again!
Enjoy this compilation of playlists dedicated to whatever mood you’re in.
For when you first wake up and grab your coffee: oat milk latte
The songs in this playlist are slow, eclectic jams that are ideal for waking up in the morning while the sun hits your face. Grab your coffee and get ready for the day.
Featured Artists: Xavier Rudd, Harry Styles, Kacey Musgraves
For driving in the car with your friends: sing-along or die
I thought this title might be a little aggressive, but these songs are too good. Picture yourself driving with your friends with the windows down, and the music blasting (at an appropriate volume so the driver is able to focus, of course).
Featured Artists: Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Smash Mouth
For late-night dance parties: peanut butter & jammin’
I’m obsessed with the name of this playlist! Whether you’re by yourself or with your friends, dance the night away. To give you an idea of what’s on this playlist, Yeah! is on it, so you know it’s a good time.
Featured Artists: Usher, Shakira, Bee Gees
For lounging on the sand or by the pool: sunkissed
I love these songs because they emit cool and calm vibes. Furthermore, these bops are laid back and I could definitely take a nap on the warm sand to the songs on this playlist.
Featured Artists: Mas Verde, Jack Johnson, Cody Simpson
For those cravings for 2000s songs: throw it back
Remember the good old days? Sometimes, you just need to listen to some old Rihanna and Britney Spears. I don’t make the rules, but this compilation of hits are arguably the best songs ever made.
Featured Artists: Jason Derulo, Bruno Mars, Ke$ha
For when you need a good cry: sad girl hour
Absolutely no judgment here. There are times when you need a good cry, and music is always there to make you feel better. If you have to listen to this playlist often, I’m here for you and am available to talk. 😊
Featured Artists: Coldplay, Lana Del Rey, Sam Smith
For when you’re in a lovey-dovey mood: heart eyes
I compiled “heart eyes” a while ago, and it’s your one-stop-shop for all the greatest love songs. Can you feel it, can you feel the love? 💓
Featured Artists: ZAYN, 5 Seconds of Summer, Kina Grannis
For when you need optimal focus: get things done
Personally, I cannot study or do work while I’m listening to songs with lyrics that I can sing along to. I tend to sing a lot which can disrupt my thinking, so I like to listen to lo-fi beats. Put this playlist on shuffle and get to work!
For when you need to calm the F down: chill pill
These are the songs to listen to if you want to be chillin’ like a villain. I listen to these songs to calm myself down if I’m feeling anxious or overwhelmed. Treat yourself with a warm bath or engage in some self-care activities!
Featured Artists: FINNEAS, Noah Cyrus, Joji
For when you need to remember who you are: girl boss
“Girl Boss” is dedicated to those of you who forget just how awesome you are. You are killing it, and remember to appreciate all of your fantastic qualities. Get it, girl!
Featured Artists: Demi Lovato, Lizzo, Beyonce
Lately, I’ve also been listening to a bunch of podcasts, and you can find some of my favorites here.
I also wrote about some sustainable bathroom products that you can read here.
All in all, I hope you’ve enjoyed these Spotify playlists for any mood that you’re in. I’m always open to music suggestions, so let me know in the comments below what your favorite song is!
